DAY 1: DELHI TO AMRITSAR BY SHATABDI EXPRESS AND EVENING SIGHTSEEING
Begin your Amritsar overnight journey early in the morning with a pickup from your Delhi hotel or residence. You will be transferred to New Delhi Railway Station to board the 12031 Shatabdi Express, departing at 7:20 AM. The train journey takes approximately 6 hours and 10 minutes, reaching Amritsar around 1:30 PM (subject to train schedules).

Upon arrival, a driver will transfer you to your hotel to rest and freshen up. Later, visit the Golden Temple, the holiest Sikh shrine, where you can soak in the serene atmosphere and enjoy the community langar. Continue to Jallianwala Bagh, a historic site commemorating the sacrifice of freedom fighters during India’s independence struggle.

In the evening, witness the Wagah Border ceremony, a spectacular daily military retreat display at the India-Pakistan border. After the ceremony at Wagah border, we will return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Amritsar.

DAY 2: DURGIANA TEMPLE, LOCAL MARKETS, AND RETURN TO DELHI

Start the day with breakfast at your hotel, followed by a visit to the Durgiana Temple, an exquisite example of Hindu temple architecture in Amritsar. Afterwards, explore the city’s vibrant streets and local markets, where you can shop for traditional Punjabi attire, juttis, and souvenirs.

Enjoy a traditional Punjabi lunch before visiting the Partition Museum, which preserves artifacts and stories from India’s Partition era. After sightseeing, you will be transferred to the Amritsar Railway Station to board the return train to Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi, a driver will drop you back at your hotel or residence, concluding your enriching and memorable Amritsar overnight tour.
