DAY 1: ARRIVE DELHI

DAY 2: DELHI CITY TOUR – EXPLORE OLD AND NEW DELHI
This afternoon, enjoy a specially guided walking tour led by a representative from ITIHAAS – Indian Traditions and Heritage Society. Your first exploration of Delhi is designed as an introductory experience to the city’s rich history and culture. As one of the largest cities in the world in both size and population, Delhi is best discovered on foot with an expert guide.
A co-founder of ITIHAAS will lead this fascinating walk themed “Mughal and Colonial India.” She regularly conducts heritage walks for local schoolchildren, sharing engaging stories that help them connect with the city’s cultural past. During this tour, you will benefit from her deep knowledge and unique insights, while visiting hidden corners and historic spots that most casual visitors rarely experience.
DAY 3: DELHI TO AGRA VIA EXPRESS WAY BY ROAD (210 KM)
Morning: You will experience the highlights of Delhi taking in the essential contemporary and historic sites including: Qutab Minar, the highest minaret in India; the Sikh Temple, with its white marble features and spectacular golden dome, and the sleek modern lines of the Lotus Temple, which bears an uncanny resemblance to the Sydney Opera House.

DAY 4: AGRA SIGHTSEEING
Morning: A tour of the city, spending time at those two iconic heritage sites, the romantic Taj Mahal, built entirely of white marble, and regarded as one of the eight wonders of the world, and the imposing Agra Fort, which takes its name from the red sandstone that lines its impressive outer walls.
The rest of the day is yours to spend in Agra, exploring its strong Mughal heritage, furthering your curriculum research, and developing resources to take back with you to your students.
DAY 5: AGRA TO JAIPUR BY ROAD (240 KM) EN-ROUTE EXPLORE FATEHPUR SIKRI
After our overnight stay in Agra, we will checkout of the hotel and depart for our next destination of Jaipur. Subject to weather conditions participants might be able to visit the Taj Mahal early morning to view sunrise. Local guide will confirm departure time from the hotel.
On our way, we will pay a brief visit to Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage site, once the capital of the Mughal Empire, but now a city of fewer than 30,000 people. On our way lunch will be at Laxmi Vilas Palace Bharatpur. Evening arrival in Jaipur by 7pm Check in to hotel and evening at leisure.
DAY 6: JAIPUR CITY TOUR
In the morning we visit the Amber Fort an ancient citadel located on a hill overlooking Maota Lake, the Amber Fort features exquisite gardens and richly decorated courtyards. Continue sightseeing with a visit to the Observatory. The Observatory contains 14 extraordinary large-scale structures of stone and marble, which are, in fact, instruments for measuring time, tracking the stars and predicting eclipses. Followed by a visit to the City Palace and bazaar. Opportunity for you to purchase your lunch at the local bazaar, with its tempting array of local arts and crafts.
Late afternoon is an optional visit Hawa Mahal, a palace built in 1799 with nearly 1000 windows for royal ladies to watch processions from. Evening free to explore Jaipur at your leisure.
DAY 7: JAIPUR TO PUSHKAR BY ROAD (140 KM)
After breakfast, free to wonder the streets of Jaipur.
In the afternoon, we will arrive at Puskhar – one of the oldest cities in India set around the sacred Puskhar lake. Puskhar has become a place of Hindu pilgrimage because of this lake.
Afternoon activity, we will experience a camel safari through the out skirt of bustling market area taking in rose garden and local villages.
Evening free to explore Puskhar at your leisure.
DAY 8: EXPLORE PUSKHAR
Today you will explor Pushkar with local guide, pushkar Renowned as one of India’s oldest cities, Pushkar is a sacred Hindu pilgrimage destination. Legend says that Lord Brahma established the city after defeating the demon Vaira Nabha, whose defeat occurred when a lotus fell at this site, forming the holy lake. Pushkar is home to the world’s only temple dedicated to Brahma, and many devotees believe that bathing in the lake brings spiritual cleansing. The city is also famous for its vibrant Camel Fair, where thousands of camels and livestock are traded. Local transit within the city will be available for easy exploration.
